Points structure

Phoenix Pub Poker points are calculated on the basis of the number of players competing in a tournament and the end position of that player in the tournament. The table below is a handy reckoner. Some weeks are ‘Bonus Points’ weeks, where these points are increased by 50%. Each season every player, provided they have played three or more Phoenix Pub Poker evenings at any venue in any season, can opt to play a Joker game, where 50% points are also added. If the joker option is played in Bonus Points week they get 50% additional on the base points, so effectively they are playing for double points. To easily calculate bonus and joker points just look up 50% more players (eg for a 12 player evening, look up 18 players).

In the event of prize money deals being struck between the last few players, the league points will be proportioned directly to the proportional split of the prize pool. If it is an even split, the number of points will be apportioned on the average over those top placings.
