Sorry folks, games suspended due to Coronavirus
Phoenix Pub Poker runs events professionally, creating a fun, safe and competitive environment for all. These can bring 12/32 more customers to your establishment on nights that would otherwise be quiet. We usually get between 18 and 28 players. Participants range from complete novices to experienced players, with age ranges from 18 to one player of 93!. Our format is highly regarded.
It takes a true partnership approach between the premises' staff and the Phoenix Pub Poker team to make a success of events. We are not interested in working anywhere that thinks we'll just turn up and and do everything by magic. You will need to be committed to promotion of our events to your community as we do to ours. It takes personality and professionalism. Our hosts are selected to be not only organised, but welcoming to the participants. Like you, we want players to return for more, that is why we always focus on providing great atmosphere. We use an array of communication tools to keep players interested in the league and wanting more. The content on our website is refreshed at least weekly and we use social media in smart ways to keep customers coming.
If, as a landlord, you are prepared to commit, this can work amazingly well. We

Legislation and poker
The are tight regulations around having poker events on licensed premises. They vary
depending on the type of establishment you operate, a pub, a members' club or private
club. Guidelines can be found at the Gambling Commission's website www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk
and it is worth checking the situation with your licensing officer at the local council.
Your license is at risk if you allow games to be played outside the limits. Adur
and Worthing Council have a useful advice page at https://www.adur-
