September 2018 news
Freeman flops 88A, wearing a ‘CHANGE THE RECORD’ T-
Bazzer is famed for his highly repetitive sayings during poker sessions, one being the luck he gets connected to his house number. September 10 saw him flop these cards in 88a order, whilst wearing a highly appropriate top!
These cards didn’t bring him luck, but he did make a rare top table appearance, failing to make the money. Joint winners were Sam Beaumont and Peter Burdett, wh cut a deal when the blinds were 10k/20k, with Nick Jeffery in third. Our bubble was Dennis Foster.
Another top table appearance from Peter Metcalfe, pushed him to the top of our Autumn 2018 leader board.
Our Autumn 2018 season is under way
Sixteen players battled the first tournament of the season on Monday, September 3, with the three money placings opting to share the pot when the blinds hit 15k/30k. They were Dan Bruncak, Orlando Lopez and Peter Metcalfe. Our bubble was James Winfield. Our Summer season’s champion, Nick Jeffery, bust first.
Top table action from September 24
Three way chop for Dan, Daryl and Peter
Ed Lynham and Kit Hinton shared the top prize spoils with Sam Beaumont taking third and Den Foster bubbling. The two winners entered the final phase as distinct chip leaders and Ed Lynham gre his stack considrably by executing five in a row. Some aggressive moves by Sam when the play went to four players put her temporarily in contention, but her wings were clipped when betting into a superior pair.
Dan Bruncak, Daryl Hitchings and Peter Metcalfe shared the pot three ways when the blinds reached 20k/40k on September 17. There was no clear chip leader and it was a sensible call.
Rosario was our bubble boy.
The best hand of the evening was Daryl’s straight flush, beating a full house.
